I started my career as a theoretical cosmologist and slowly moving to statistics, astrophysics and data analysis. I am part of the Lyman-α forest and Galaxy group as a member of the Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey ( BOSS - eBOSS ) of the SDSS . I am a post-doctoral research associate at the Brookhaven National Lab (BNL) , working in collaboration with Dr. Anze Slosar. I received my Ph.D at the University of Cambridge, where I was part of the Cavendish astrophysics group and the Kavli Institute for Cosmology. I was advised by Prof. Anthony Lasenby and Prof. Mike Hobson.

My current research focuses on Data analysis of the Lyman-α forest observed through BOSS; on the parameter estimation and model selection of different Dark Energy and Inflationary models. In the past, I also worked with dynamical systems in cosmology and scalar fields as the main candidates of being the Dark matter of the Universe. A more detailed description of my research can be found here.

I received my Bs.C. from the Autonomous University of Morelos (UAEM), and then the Ms.C. from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute (CINVESTAV), where I was advised by Prof. Tonatiuh Matos . I also spent three months as a short-term research visitor, working in the Numerical Relativity group at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universitat, Jena. After that, I moved to Cambridge in order to take the Part III of the Mathematical Tripos leading to a MASt (Master of Advanced Study) degree.
