Typed abstract must fit within an area of 16.5 cm x 8.5 cm. Use Times Roman 12 point size letters and 1.5 line spacing . No figures are allowed. 

In order to post  the abstracts at the web we need to have their electronic file. Please send it as an attachment by the e-mail. Word, Wordperfect, LATEX or text formats are allowed.

• The first (top) line of the abstract should have the code of the selected topic (TF#). 
• Type the title using capital letters on the second line. 
• Type the author names, their affiliation and addresses on the next line. The name of the presenting author should be underlined. 
• Then comes the text of the abstract. 
• Please indicate your preference for presentation (oral or poster).

Contributed papers will be presented in oral and poster sessions.

Oral presentation: Contributed oral presentations are programmed 20 minutes in total including questions. All lecture rooms will have overhead projectors. Any other requirements concerning projection equipment must be communicated to the conference secretariat at least one month before the beginning of the conference. 

Poster presentation: Each paper will be allocated on a poster board of 1.5m x 1.8m. Detailed instructions will be sent with the notification of acceptance of the abstract. 
 
 

We do need your contribution in two formats:

i) Camera Ready,   to be published in  Superficies y Vacio
ii) Usual format required for the reviewing process of Thin Solid Films

All presented contributions  will be published in the journal of the Mexican Vacuum and Surfaces Science Society: Superficies y Vacio.

Therefore, all contributors are  asked to bring their papers  in the camera ready format following the requirements of the journal Superficies y Vacio to the conference desk. Please do not forget to bring along a diskette with the electronic file of your contribution. 

Besides publishing the proceedings of the conference  in the journal Superficies y Vacio, selected papers will be published  in a special issue of the Elsevier journal Thin Solid Films.  These manuscripts must be prepared according to the  requirements of the Thin Solid Films journal. 

A length estimation for the contributions is: 6 PRINTED pages for invited papers and 3 PRINTED pages for regular contributions.

All papers will be subjected to the normal reviewing procedure of the Thin Solid Films journal.
