PASSPORT and VISAS An entry visa to México is not required for participants from most countries, however, we suggest that you check it with your travel agent. Those requiring visas should apply to the Mexican Embassy or Consular Office or Mexican Diplomatic Mission in their domestic country at least two months prior to the departure. CLIMATE The weather in Cancun in September is pleasant and warm the whole day round. Occasionally, it may rain for a couple of hours. CURRENCY EXCHANGE In México, besides the national currency (peso), you can use U.S. dollars. You may also use traveler checks and credit cards as well. SHOPPING In Cancun many department stores and souvenir shops exist, open daily since 10:00 till 21:00 hrs. EXHIBITION An exhibition of scientific equipment will take place during the conference. For further details contact please the Conference Secretariat. AIRPORT TO HOTEL TRANSPORTATION Taxis and collective vans offer transportation from the airport directly to the hotel. Taxis fare : 15.00 USD, vans: 5.00 USD approximately. SOCIAL EVENT On Wednesday
September 1st, an organized visit to Chichen Itza archeological
zone will take place.
The Organizing Committee
has reserved a limited number of rooms at the Hyatt
Regency Cancun hotel during the Conference
and Congress period. Special rates have been offered to the participants
at the 11th-ICTF only until july 15.
