In this work we studied the effect of Ag additions on the microstructure and properties of thin superconducting films based on thallium (TBCCO). It is well know that the presence of silver in the HTc superconductor may improve the intergrain conductivity and, it also lowers the melting point of the superconductor compound. The deposition process was performed in two steps: first we produced precursor films and then we applied a thallination process by the Tl diffusion. Precursor films were prepared by the spray pyrolysis technique using Ba, Ca, Cu and Ag acetylacetonates as sources materials, N,N-dimenthylformamide as a solvent, and Ag-tape texturized substrates. The structural, chemical and electrical characterizations were performed and their results will be presented.
